This year’s artwork is brought to you by another promising Lynn area high school student, Catherine Bonilla, who upon learning of the work of the Children’s Law Center of MA sought to convey, in her words, the following message: “the gift of education through reading.”
We couldn’t agree more about the importance of education. Four of our attorneys currently focus their legal advocacy on low-income school students, most with disabilities, who face significant hurdles in securing a quality education. In the past month alone, scores of such children in Lynn, Lawrence, Chelsea and beyond have required our legal aid to obtain more appropriate education services, enroll in school, or receive safety plans to allow them to learn in a supportive, risk-free atmosphere.
The CLCM is able to provide such critical assistance in part because of donors like you. We ask, respectfully, that you consider a gift to our agency this holiday season. Your tax-deductible contribution will help protect and advance the rights of the hundreds of indigent clients that we serve throughout the year, including the many striving for the “gift of education.”
